1. Choose an Uncensored LLM API
Start with the model's behaviour on your own prompts. Send a fixed set of lawful adult and fictional requests, and record every refusal. An endpoint that refuses lawful creative work forces you to add workarounds that break the product.
Our endpoint answers lawful adult, fictional and controversial requests directly, with the id uncensored.
2. Verify OpenAI Compatibility
Point the official OpenAI SDK at the base URL https://nsfwollama.com/v1 and send one short message. If the reply comes back in choices[0].message.content, your existing chat code works without changes.
- Check that streaming returns server-sent events.
- Check that errors come back as JSON with a status code.
3. Implement Streaming for UX
Users judge a chatbot by how soon the first words appear. Set stream: true, show each chunk as it arrives and keep the full text in a buffer for storage.
Measure the time to the first token on conversations of different lengths. A reply that starts quickly on short chats can slow down when the history grows, so test the long case as well.
4. Calculate Token Costs Accurately
Roleplay sessions carry their whole history with every request, so the input tokens grow with each turn. The context window is 100,000 tokens, and the cost of a long session is mostly input.
| Session | Input tokens | Output tokens | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single short reply | 1,200 | 300 | $0.0003 |
| Long roleplay turn | 70,000 | 1,500 | $0.0113 |
Trim or summarise old turns before the window fills, and store the usage numbers per conversation.
5. Handle Rate Limits Gracefully
Each key allows 300 requests per minute and 8 requests at the same time. A chat app rarely hits that limit alone, but a burst from many users can. Queue requests per user and retry 429 responses with exponential backoff.
Show a short waiting message in the interface rather than a silent delay.
6. Define Your Content Boundaries
Decide what your product accepts before you launch, and enforce it in your own code. Age checks, consent rules for role-play characters and a block list for the few categories you refuse all belong in your application, not in the prompt alone.
Write the rules down and test them with prompts from each category.
7. Set Up Crypto Payments for Scale
Prepaid credit fits a chat product with uneven traffic. Top-ups are paid in USDT on TRC20 or USDC on Base, starting at $20, and bonus credit applies from $50. The balance cannot go below zero, so a runaway loop stops at the amount you loaded.
Connect the balance to your own alerts, so that you see a low balance before the service stops.
8. Test with Real NSFW Prompts
Before launch, run a test set of real prompts from your users, with the same system messages and the same history length. Read the replies, check the cost per conversation and note every case where the product behaved in a way you did not expect.
Repeat the test after every change to the system prompt, because small wording changes can alter the behaviour a lot.
